Bearish Engulfing

The Bearish Engulfing pattern is one of the most reliable candlestick patterns.

Bearish reversal pattern
Follows an uptrend
Pattern composed of two bodies of opposite color
Second candle's body engulfs the previous candle's body
If the shadows are also engulfed, the stronger the signal
If the first body is small and the second is long, the stronger the signal
The more candles are engulfed by the second candle, the stronger the signal
Is accepted that the second candle opens at previous day's close
